We were on the road, again! Jim as driver, Shari in the back seat and me as navigator in front. It was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, and this time we were headed for Indiana...
Our first lighthouse destination was the Michigan City Old Lighthouse Museum. We met Jackie, who was in charge of making sure EVERYONE paid, and handing out self-guided tour packets (for borrowing only!) Jackie also told me about the Hoosier Lighthousing club. You don't even have to be from Indiana, just interested in coming to Indiana to help them work on the Lighthouse Museum.
We left the museum and walked to the pier, following a fence as a guide, and glad it was only sprinkling rain. We walked all the way down to the light, and Shari and I climbed up to the walk to go around and to the edge. Shari noted, along with another couple sitting there, all the grafitti.
We walked back down and rejoined Jim, taking any pictures along the way. We were actually only in the middle of our adventurous day, but that was the end of the lighthouse tours, until next time...
