It was time for our 2nd (!) anniversary celebration in October 1999. We could not decide where to go in Michigan. I, of course, still wanted to include a lighthouse adventure in the trip. Jim suggested Chicago. We went to Navy Pier, which we had never been to together. From Navy Pier there was a great view of the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse and the Chicago Harbor Southeast Guidewall Light. We noted the other families, couples, and especially the Naval Recruits. The Great Lakes Naval Training Station, aka "Boot Camp," was nearby. As a side note, that was where Jim went to Boot Camp. What a great view of Lake Michigan looking towards Michigan!
